My name is Lyon Herron,
I am a survivor, an environmentalist, an ambassador, a photographer and an advocate. I have a deep passion for the elements of Mother Nature. I am a product of my environment; the ocean, the mountains, the desert, and the arts. My childhood was tainted with many hardships as well as opportunities to see beauty in its most authentic form. When you realize that life can be stripped from you at any moment, you inherently see the good in all negative situations. During one of the most difficult times of my life, at 15 years old, I found my passion behind the lens of a camera. Since then I have discovered a sense of freedom in being able to capture the world as I see it through my eyes. There is nothing more gratifying than to encapsulate the essence of a moment that will never happen again. My condition allowed me to travel the globe to see doctors and healers in the most breathtaking places this world has to offer. As a child, I was given an opportunity to battle cancer and beat it. This gave me an outlook that surpassed none. As a cancer survivor, I have learned that nothing comes easily. My will to live has instilled a determination to show up and be accountable for what I stand for, and for whom I want to be. I have learned to use what I have been through as a motivational tool to remind myself that anything can be accomplished as long as you are positive and willing.
